Cluster and Herbal Cosmetic industries functioning at Vasai and Western Suburbs of Mumbai has been identified and selected for intensive development through various interventions under MSE-CDP. The first Awareness programme on Cluster Development and Govt. Schemes for Promotion of MSMEs has been organized for the benefit of Cosmetic Manufacturers, BDS providers and stake holder of this cluster on 22.2.2008 at MSME Development Institute, Mumbai. The objective of this programme is to create awareness on Cluster Development Programme on Govt. of India and trust binding amongst the cluster members, BDS providers and stake holders pertaining to the cluster of cosmetic and HCS at Vasai and Western Suburbs of Mumbai. Sheri V. Padmanand, an International Industry Expert and specialist in Cluster Development was invited to deliver the talk.

The Programme was started with the inaugural function at 10.30 a.m. The dignitaries present on the occasion are Ms.Kajol Anand, Vice Chairperson, AISSCMA, Shri Kannubhai T Vadher, President AISSCMA, Dr. N. H. Jain, Chairman, AISSCMA, Shri Raksh Pal Abrol, President, BSSIA, Shri Devendra Prasad, Dy.General Manager, State Bank of India, Shri Shantilal Chavan, Chairman, Malad Co-operatrive Bank Mumbai and Shri G.M.A,bhore, Director, MSME-DI, Mumbai. Shri Sanatan Sahoo, Asstt. Director & CDE cosmetic MSME-DI briefed the cluster profile and activities and gave the welcome address. The Programme was started with the inaugural address by Shri G. M. Ambhore, Director, MSME-DI, Mumbai. The inaugural function was concluded by the vote of thanks by Shri Milan Mehta, Secretary, AISSCMA.
